Italy Feb industrial sales up 4.8 pct yr-on-yr, orders down 2.5 pct

ROME (Thomson Financial) - Italian industrial sales rose 4.8 pct year-on-year in February, while orders fell 2.5 pct, the statistics office ISTAT said.

Domestic sales rose 2.7 pct year-on-year and foreign ones increased 9.9 pct, while domestic orders fell 6.8 pct and orders from abroad rose 7.1 pct.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial sales fell 0.8 pct in February from January, while orders fell 0.3 pct.
