Northrop Grumman gets Air Force deal |

ROLLLING MEADOWS, Ill. - Military contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. said Tuesday one of its units won a contract with the Air Force to install a precision targeting pod system into Marine combat aircraft.Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems will supply 12 multi-sensor laser targeting system into Marine EA-6B aircraft to increase the effectiveness of aircrews to detect, acquire, track and identify ground targets, the company said.The Los Angeles-based company will complete installations later this year.The company declined to comment on the value of the contract.Shares of Northrop Grumman were unchanged at $67.69 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
