MILAN (AFX) - Advertising spending in Italy rose 2.9 pct in the 11 months to November, to 7.989 bln eur from 7.764 bln a year earlier, according to a survey by Nielsen Media Research.Advertising on television rose 1.0 pct to 4.347 bln eur from 4.302 bln, it said, while advertising in the written press rose 3.8 pct to 2.823 bln eur from 2.719 bln.Advertising on radio rose 8.5 pct to 406.6 mln from 374.7 mln.Meanwhile, billboard advertising fell 1.0 pct to 180.4 mln from 182.2 mln, advertising on the internet rose 46.0 pct to 173.6 mln from 118.9 mln and advertising in cinemas dropped 12.3 pct to 58.8 mln from 67.0 mln.philip.webster@afxnews.compw/gpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
