Hugo Boss FY 2006 pretax profit up 14 pct on retail ops, womenswear

METZINGEN, Germany (AFX) - Hugo Boss AG said full year 2006 pretax profit rose 14 pct from a year earlier to 180 mln eur on strong revenue growth at its retail outlets and the womenswear division.

Sales climbed 14 pct to 1.496 bln eur, with net profit up 19 pct to 129 mln, the German fashion group said in a statement.

Looking ahead, Hugo Boss said it expects 'the positive sales and earnings trend to continue in 2007'.
