Avaya in talks about selling part or all of company - report

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Telecoms equipment maker Avaya Inc is in talks about selling part or all of the company, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the situation.

The newspaper said private equity groups are attracted to Avaya's strong cashflow and low debt, while network equipment makers such as Nortel Networks Corp will also likely be interested.

The Wall Street Journal said Avaya has a market capitalisation of about 6.18 bln usd.
