Yuan ends at 7.6194 to US dollar vs 7.6207 in OTC trade

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - The yuan finished at 7.6194 to the dollar on the over-the-counter (OTC) market, up from 7.6207 last Friday.

On the exchange-traded market, the yuan closed at 7.6188, up from 7.6213 on Friday, a Guangzhou-based trader with a foreign bank said.

The yuan traded between 7.6235-7.6185 on the OTC market and 7.6209-7.6180 on the exchange-traded market.

The central bank set the yuan central parity rate at 7.6192 to the dollar this morning, compared to a midpoint of 7.6224 previously.

China's central bank widened the yuan's daily trading band to 0.5 pct from 0.3 pct, effective May 21.
