SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) - The Dominican Republic will launch a joint effort with the U.S. state of Pennsylvania to research trade and investment opportunities, President Leonel Fernandez's office said Tuesday.Fernandez and Keystone State Gov. Ed Rendell discussed strategies to take advantage of a newly implemented U.S. trade agreement with the Dominican Republic and Central America during a meeting Monday at the national palace.A working group will look into areas including alternative fuels, Fernandez's office said.
