(repeating for technical reasons)LISBON (Thomson Financial) - Papeles y Cartones de Europa SA, known as Europac, said that it has asked Portuguese stock market regulator CMVM to delist Gescartao SGPS from Euronext Lisbon, following its takeover of the paper company.In regulatory filing, Europac said that the decision will be effective after the CMVM's approval.In late January, Europac said it would list 62.1 mln of its own shares on the Euronext Lisbon stock exchange following its bid for the 15 pct of Gescartao it did not already own.Europac had obtained 2.65 mln of 3.05 mln outstanding shares in Gescartao in a 7-for-2 share offer to the paper maker's minority shareholders.luis.morais@thomson.comlm/an/anCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
