Aviva mulls US annuity products for Europe - report

LONDON (AFX) - Aviva PLC is considering offering US annuity-style products to customers in continental Europe, the Financial Times has reported.

The newspaper said the group plans to accelerate its sales in the region.

It acquired AmerUs last year, the leading US provider of fixed index annuities -- retirement savings with returns linked to an underlying index, normally equities.
