June 10, 2009 - In her new role, Parker is responsible for the company's overall strategic direction and planning of human resources policies, programs and practices. Among her other responsibilities, she will oversee job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, salary administration, incentives and benefits, employee relations, legal compliance; and will deliver human resources technology and employee services through a blended team of corporate specialists and regional human resources generalists.
Parker joined the company in 2006 as employment and employee relations director. She brings more than 18 years of progressively responsible human resources experience to the position including employee relations, recruiting, strategic consulting and problem resolution. Prior to joining Colonial, she served as senior human resources business manager for Regions Bank and human resources manager for Sterling Bank.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Management from Auburn University Montgomery where she graduated magna cum laude. She holds a Professional in Human Resources Management (PHR) certification and is a member of the Montgomery Society for Human Resources Management, as well as the National Society for Human Resources Management.
