- Eldorado, IL - Legence Bank, one of the first financial institutions in the country to launch Kasasa™, the first and only suite of checking accounts that actually takes an interest in account holders, today announced that it is now offering the revolutionary new Kasasa Saver™ account. In addition to Kasasa Cash™ and Kasasa Giving™, consumers can now choose a Kasasa Saver™ account.
Kasasa Saver is a high interest savings account linked to a Kasasa Cash account that earns high interest. Every month, interest and ATM fee refunds earned in the Kasasa Cash account are automatically deposited into the Kasasa Saver account. The balance in the Kasasa Saver account will also earn a high rate of interest. Like all Kasasa accounts, Kasasa Saver is a free account with no minimum balance requirements, no monthly fees, free online banking and nationwide ATM fee refunds.
"These days it isn't easy to make money. It's even harder to save money. But with a Kasasa
Saver account, you can earn high interest and nationwide ATM fee refunds and save that money automatically," said Kevin Beckemeyer, President and CEO of Legence Bank. "And, like Kasasa Cash, customers may now choose to apply and open a Kasasa Saver account online. Kasasa Saver meets the needs of the account holder to keep their spending money and savings separate."
Account holders earn the high interest rate on their Kasasa Saver account by doing a few simple things every month, like using a debit card, accessing online banking, signing up to receive monthly e-statements instead of paper, and making electronic transactions, like direct deposit. If an account holder does not meet the qualifications in a given month, the account is still free, the customer will still receive base interest rates on the accounts, and they will be eligible the following month for the benefits.
Kasasa was introduced in May of 2009 through an aggressive, highly engaging marketing
campaign. The campaign, which featured some of America's top slam poets, asks consumers, "Do You Kasasa?" In other words, Legence Bank is asking consumers to expect more from their banking relationship.
"Kasasa accounts have been wildly popular among our customers," added Beckemeyer. "The tremendous feedback we've received illustrates that people are excited about our new offerings, and we are confident that Kasasa Saver will be met with the same enthusiasm."
Legence Bank offers other Kasasa banking products, including Kasasa Cash and Kasasa Giving:
• Kasasa Cash - A free checking account that pays high interest in cash every month.
• Kasasa Giving - A checking account that directs the high interest earned each month to the charity chosen by the account holder. Plus, every time the account holder makes a debit card purchase over $10, an additional contribution will be made to their chosen charity by the bank. Consumers can choose to direct their contributions to a national charity, including American Humane Association, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Stand up to Cancer or a local charity, including local places of worship.
