Maus Freres ups stake in Gant to 25.8 pct

STOCKHOLM (Thomson Financial) - Swiss family-owned company Maus Freres SA said it has, through its subsidiary Procastor SA, bought an additional 2.1 pct stake at 310 skr per share in Gant Company AB, increasing its total holding to 25.8 pct.Maus Freres has launched a 310 skr-per-share bid for the Gant, but Gant's board recently recommended shareholders reject the bid, and there are reports that a majority of shareholders are negative to the bid.hans.chumakonde@thomson.comhc/jrrCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
