FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Singulus Technologies AG expects to win orders for at least 15 Blu-ray machines this year, up from five in 2007, following Warner Bros Entertainment's decision to release DVD titles exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format, chief executive Stefan Baustert told Boersen-Zeitung.Analysts' estimates for 23 mln eur in sales from Blu-ray related products in 2008 and for 57 mln eur in 2009 are 'absolutely realistic,' the CEO said in an interview with the newspaper.Warner Bros' decision will lift demand for Singulus' equipment for Blu-ray production and 'take uncertainty out of the market,' Baustert said. The company makes a gross margin of 'significantly' more than 30 pct from Blu-ray machines and it aims to command a 65 pct share of the global market, the CEO said.Singulus shares yesterday surged as Time Warner Inc unit Warner Bros decided to release its high-definition DVD titles exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format rather than in HD DVD, sparking hopes for growing demand for Singulus' products.ludwig.burger@thomson.comlb/mas/salCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
