Ahmed Dahab is a successful Sudanese businessman and entrepreneur. He created his first business before the age of 20 and earned his first million by 2011.
After moving to Kuwait with his family at an early age, Mr Dahab developed impressive business acumen that would help him achieve significant success. In 2014, after amassing enough wealth to start investing in real estate, Ahmed Dahab began working on an extensive real estate project based in Turkey.
In 2016, following an investigation that lasted just 30 minutes, the State Security Service declared that Ahmed Dahab’s organisation was involved in money laundering. What followed was a shocking display of wrongful imprisonment and physical and mental torture, culminating in a troubling pattern of injustice. It soon became clear that the Public Prosecutor was ‘out to get’ Mr Dahab and his business associates.
To raise awareness of this miscarriage of justice, Mr Dahab invites individuals who have read his story to leave a comment sharing their thoughts on the case or draw and submit an illustration of the Kuwait Public Prosecutor. Prizes include £1,000 for the best drawing and £250 for the best comment and the winners will be selected by Ahmed Dahab himself. All judging decisions are final.
The competition will run from the 9th March to the 9th May 2020. It is open to entrants worldwide. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over, with only one submission accepted per person. Entrants must consent to their comment or picture being published on Mr Dahab’s website and social media channels. Submit your entries here: https://www.ahmeddahab.org/competition/
