Alpha Capital Group Launches Digital Trading Journal
- Prop trading firm unveils new tool to help traders understand their performance
- MyAlpha automatically logs every trade and turns it into a daily journal
London (29 October 2026) – Prop trading firm Alpha Capital Group has launched MyAlpha, a new digital trading journal designed to help its traders understand their performance, build discipline and achieve greater success.
MyAlpha connects to Alpha Group’s accounts, logs every trade automatically, and turns that activity into a daily journal containing and reading in-depth performance analytics, so traders can see exactly where their systems are working and where they need work.
The launch marks the latest in a series of upgrades and expansions from Alpha Capital Group, which was founded in 2021 by experienced UK finance professionals – George Kohler (Managing Director) and Andrew Blaylock (Director) – and has quickly grown from start-up to a high-growth business.
With MyAlpha, trades, balances and open positions sync automatically from connected trading accounts, enabling traders to spend less time recording trades and more time learning from them.
The digital trading journal is built around the trading day. Each day has its own mood, notes, rules checklist, recap of every trade and sign-off, with streaks rewarding traders for consistency, allowing them to build better trading habits through structured planning, reflection and review.
Deep-dive analytics then help traders find out what is working and what isn’t, breaking down their performance, their risk, their timing and their habits.
MyAlpha is also multi-account aware. Traders can view a single account, all of their accounts, accounts they copy trade between, or a ‘progression’, such as moving from an evaluation to a qualified account, as a single journey. This gives them a clearer picture of performance across accounts and stages of their trading journey.
Key features include a Command Centre home screen showing headline numbers, open positions and the day’s session; Daily Flow, which guides traders through each trading day from pre-market planning to a recap and sign-off, enabling them to build better trading habits through structured planning, reflection and review; a Session Log with a calendar, a view of every trading day and a review of every trade; and Playbooks, where traders keep their discipline rules, strategies, tags and notes.
The Session Log includes Trade Replay, which allows traders to revisit individual trades on the chart, including entries, exits, how far each trade moved for and against them, and annotations. Traders can also rate their trades, record their emotional state and link trades to a strategy, helping them examine how positions developed and identify what they could approach differently next time.
Alpha Capital Group Managing Director George Kohler said: “The best traders treat trading as a skill that they are constantly training and refining, and MyAlpha gives our traders the tools to do exactly that. By logging every trade automatically and turning it into a clear daily routine, it takes the hard work out of keeping a journal and lets traders focus on learning from their own results.
“Every trader has an edge, but most also have habits that cost them money. MyAlpha shows them it all, so they can make smarter decisions and become more consistent over time. It’s another example of our on-going commitment to investing in our traders and giving them the best possible tools and opportunities to succeed. We really want our customers to succeed!”
Alpha Capital Group recently unveiled its Alpha Trader app, delivering its in-house Alpha Trader platform on Apple and Android devices, and this year expanded its London-based Alpha Prime trading company, which now has a 100-strong team of in-house traders, into new London premises.
The company has also recently introduced Direct Accounts across its AlphaFutures and AlphaCapital divisions, giving traders immediate access to the firm’s simulated trading opportunities without the need to pass an evaluation.
Alpha Group plans to bring AlphaQuant, its next-generation quant platform, into MyAlpha. Traders will be able to turn a trading idea into a tested strategy without writing code. They can build custom indicators, backtest across years of futures, FX and CFD data, and stress-test results with the same robustness checks professional quant desks use. An AI research assistant guides every step, from shaping the idea to explaining the results. The aim is to give every trader quant-grade testing, whatever their background.
Alpha Capital Group has built a reputation as an innovator in trading education and simulated trading, winning Disruptor of the Year and Best Innovator at the 2024 UK Best Business Awards.
